About

I want to work where the subject actually lands.

I study psychology at Saraswati Multiple Campus, Tribhuvan University, and I am in the final year of the four-year programme. I grew up in Rainas, Lamjung, and moved to Kathmandu to study.

Most of what interests me sits between the classroom and the counselling room — how children and teenagers handle pressure at school, at home, and now online, and what actually helps them instead of what only sounds helpful. I would rather work with a class teacher than around one.

I am looking for a first full-time role where I speak to people directly: student support in a school, a psychosocial programme, or research assistance with an organisation doing this work in Nepal. I read, write and interview in both Nepali and English.

Focus

The work I am aiming at.

School and student support

Sitting with students who are slipping — attendance, exam pressure, something at home — and keeping the class teacher and parents in the loop rather than working around them.

Children and adolescents

Development, and the early signs that a child needs more support than a classroom can offer. This is the area I want to keep studying.

Psychosocial and community work

Group sessions, awareness programmes and referral — the kind of work organisations run outside the valley, in districts like Lamjung.

Research assistance

Questionnaire drafting, structured interviews in Nepali, clean field data, descriptive statistics and a readable write-up at the end.

Education

Where I studied.

Bachelor in Psychology, Four-Year
